Biography

Jay Muraco enters his 17th season in the National Football League and is going into his fourth campaign as an area scout with Kansas City in 2012.

 

Jay Muraco enters his 17th season in the National Football League and is going into his fourth campaign as an area scout with Kansas City in 2012.

Muraco originally joined the Chiefs personnel department after spending the previous nine seasons as the college scouting coordinator with New England (2000-08). While with the Patriots, he was part of a team that advanced to four Super Bowls, earning victories in Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII and XXXIX.

Prior to joining the Patriots, Muraco worked four years in the Philadelphia Eagles scouting department (1996-99). He began his longtime association with Chiefs General Manager Scott Pioli as a volunteer in the personnel department for the Cleveland Browns (1992-95). The Kent State graduate interned with the San Diego Chargers personnel department during 1992 training camp.
