How acquired:

Signed with Kansas City as the second of two third-round draft picks (96th overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft (5/13/13).

NFL Career Highlights:

  • Second-year running back enters his second NFL season in 2014.
  • Drafted by the Chiefs with the second of two picks in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
  • Saw his first NFL action at Jacksonville (9/8/13) and made his first NFL start at San Diego (12/29/13).
  • Played in all 16 games as a rookie, making one start. Also saw extensive action in his first postseason contest as he filled in for an injured RB Jamaal Charles in an AFC Wild Card matchup.
  • Posted two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) in the club’s AFC Wild Card Game at Indianapolis (1/4/14), tying a franchise record for most touchdowns in a postseason contest. He became the sixth Chiefs player to accomplish the feat.
  • Registered his first NFL score on a franchise-record 108-yard kickoff return vs. Denver (12/1/13). His 108-yard return is the second-longest kick return in NFL history.
  • Recorded his first rushing touchdown on a 17-yard carry at Washington (12/8/13).

Appeared in 36 games (15 starts) at the University of Arkansas, rushing 349 times for 1,842 yards (5.3 avg.) with 19 touchdowns and caught 32 passes for 297 yards (9.3 avg.) with two touchdowns ... Played in 10 games (six starts) as a senior in 2012, recording 112 carries for 377 yards (3.4 avg.) with two touchdowns and added 11 receptions for 157 yards (14.3 avg.) with one touchdown ... Missed his junior season in 2011 due to injury ... Played in all 13 games (eight starts) as a sophomore in 2010, recording 1,322 yards on 204 carries (6.5 avg.) with 13 touchdowns and 19 receptions for 136 yards (7.1 avg.) with one touchdown ...
