Biography

Matt Nagy enters his third season in Kansas City as the Chiefs quarterbacks coach in 2015. He is in his sixth season as an NFL assistant coach.

During his second year in Kansas City, Nagy helped QB Alex Smith continue his efficiency into 2014. Smith set a single-game franchise record for completion percentage, completing 25 of 29 passes (86.2%) for 223 yards vs. St. Louis (10/26/14). In his first two seasons, Smith has a combined 18 wins, marking the most wins by a Chiefs QB in his first two seasons with the club. He also has thrown for 3,000 yards in consective seasons marking the first time Smith has done so in his career. Nagy also mentored QB Chase Daniel who led Kansas City to a victory over AFC West rival San Diego in the last game of the regular season with playoff implications on the line after Alex Smith was sidelined with a spleen injury.
