Biography

Al Harris returns for his third season as the Chiefs defensive assistant/secondary coach in 2015. Harris started his coaching career after a 15-year NFL playing career that saw him reach two Pro Bowls and earn an All-Pro selection.

In Harris’ second season with the Chiefs he helped the team rank first in the AFC and second in the NFL in pass defense. The Chiefs allowed 203.3 net passing yards per game and did not allow a 300-yard passer in the 2014 season. Additionally, the defense consistently avoided big plays down field tying for third in the NFL, allowing just 41 completions of 20 or more yards and zero passes over 50 yards.
