Personal Bio

• Earned three varsity letters in football, two letters in track and one letter in basketball at Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugarland, Texas.

• Named first-team all-district as a senior.

• Established the “As One Foundation” in 2006 to provide underprivileged youth around the world with educational and developmental opportunities through athletic endeavors, educational programming and spiritual enrichment. The foundation is hosting the first Nassau Elite Devard Darling Football Camp in an effort to find and recruit the top players in the Bahamas.

• Has also hosted a free football camp in the Bahamas for youths ages 11-16 since 2006.

• Brother Dennis was a member of the Bahamian 4x400-meter relay team that competed in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. He is an assistant track coach at the University of Texas-Arlington.

• Full name: Devard Loran Darling.

• Serves as a spokesperson for Solace House, a center for grieving children and families.

• Married, wife Cicely with a son Devard, Jr. (2).
