The Kansas City Chiefs announced the signing of 17 undrafted free agents on Saturday as the defending back-to-back Super Bowl champions kicked off rookie minicamp.

Here's a look at all 17 of Kansas City's rookie free agent signees.

RB Emani Bailey (TCU)

The 5-foot-7, 202-pound Bailey led the Horned Frogs in rushing last season with 1,209 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 5.4 yards-per-carry. In fact, Bailey was one of only nine Power Five players to average 100+ rushing yards-per-game, and one of just three to record 70+ forced missed tackles.

He was also a viable weapon through the air, tallying 25 receptions (without a drop) for 184 yards and a score. In total, the 22-year-old Bailey averaged 20.7 offensive touches-per-game last season.

It all added up to a breakout campaign for Bailey, who spent the first two seasons of his career at Louisiana before transferring to TCU in 2022. Here's more on Bailey from The Athletic's Dane Brugler:

"He easily strings moves together to create yardage in space and is dangerous when he works in concert with his blockers. His game reminds me of Eric Gray — another former Big 12 back, who was selected in the fifth round in the 2023 NFL Draft."

DB Miles Battle (Utah)

A long cornerback prospect, Battle stands at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds. Originally a four-star recruit at wide receiver, he spent the first five years of his career at Ole Miss – the first two of which as a pass-catcher – before transferring to Utah for his sixth and final season in college.

Battle logged 45 career appearances (including six starts) as a defensive player in college, recording 97 tackles, 22 passes defensed, three interceptions and a forced fumble. He tallied four passes defensed and a pick in 13 games (2 starts) in 2023.

LB Swayze Bozeman (Southern Mississippi)

The 6-foot-1, 224-pound Bozeman tallied 168 tackles, 12.5 tackles-for-loss, 6.5 sacks, two passes defensed and a forced fumble in 32 career games at Southern Miss between 2019 and 2023.

Prior to joining the Golden Eagles, Bozeman starred for two seasons at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Mississippi.

WR Phillip Brooks (Kansas State)

A native of nearby Lee's Summit, Brooks caught at least 40 passes for 500+ yards and multiple scores in each of the last three seasons at K-State. He set career-bests in all three categories in 2023, logging 53 grabs for 589 yards and five touchdowns.

The 5-foot-7, 175-pound Brooks finished his career in Manhattan with 182 catches for 2,127 yards and 14 touchdowns in 65 career games.

WR Reggie Brown (James Madison)

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Brown compiled a breakout season in 2023 with 53 catches for 1,054 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games. He recorded at least one 20-yard reception in 11 of his 13 games, including six games with at least one 40-yard catch.

A reserve for much of his career at James Madison prior to last season, Brown certainly made the most of his opportunity in 2023.

TE Baylor Cupp (Texas Tech)

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound Cupp recorded 453 offensive snaps in 2023, which led all Red Raiders' tight ends. He caught 11 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns on the year, but his primary role was as a blocker. In fact, 70% of Cupp's offensive snaps last season were in a blocking capacity, with 263 of those snaps occurring on rushing plays.

Prior to joining the Red Raiders in 2022, Cupp spent three seasons at Texas A&M.

OL Ethan Driskell (Marshall)

A big man at 6-foot-9 and 329 pounds with 35-inch arms, Driskell appeared in 48 games (26 starts) for the Thundering Herd over the last four years. All 26 of his starts (which took place over the last two seasons) were at left tackle.

The No. 18 overall offensive tackle in The Athletic's draft guide, prospect guru Dane Brugler projected Driskell to be a fifth or sixth-round selection. Here's more form Brugler:

"Overall, Driskell has towering size, and leverage will always be an area of emphasis for him, but he displays the functional movement skills and encouraging power to earn meaningful snaps in the NFL…He has a realistic chance to grow into a swing tackle."

LB Curtis Jacobs (Penn State)

Jacobs was a stalwart on Penn State's defense over the last four seasons, appearing in 45 games with 36 starts. He logged at least 45 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss and 2.5 sacks in each of the last three seasons. He was also a core special teamer for the Nittany Lions, recording 337 special teams snaps over the last three years.

The No. 10 overall linebacker in this year's class according to The Athletic's Dane Brugler, Jacobs was projected in Brugler's draft guide to be a fifth-round selection. Here's more on Jacobs from Brugler's scouting report:

"Jacobs has subpackage value and will earn an immediate role on special-teams coverages."

DL Fabien Lovett Sr. (Florida State)

The 6-foot-3, 316-pound Lovett appeared in 54 games (31 starts) over the last six seasons between Mississippi State (2018-19) and Florida State (2020-23). He was a team captain last season for the Seminoles, serving as "an important cog on the defensive line" according to The Athletic's Dane Brugler, who projected Lovett as a fifth or sixth-round pick in his pre-draft guide.

"Lovett is stout at contact with the God-given length and power to continue getting better as a pass rusher. He has a scheme -versatile skill set and projects as a rotational interior lineman."

OL Griffin McDowell (Chattanooga)

Another example of a player who waited his turn for an opportunity, McDowell recorded 873 snaps at left tackle for Chattanooga last season after serving largely as a reserve player at Florida from 2018 through 2022. He was effective, too, as the 6-foot-5, 282-pound McDowell was the ninth-best tackle in the FCS in terms of pass-blocking according to Pro Football Focus' metrics last year.

For what it's worth, McDowell logged a handful of snaps at left guard and center during his career at Florida, too.

OL McKade Mettauer (Oklahoma)

The 6-foot-4, 316-pound Mettauer made 12 starts at right guard in 2023 and didn't yield a sack across 464 pass-blocking snaps. He tallied 714 total snaps at left guard the season prior, where he also didn't allow a single sack.

Prior to joining the Sooners in 2022, Mettauer spent three seasons at the University of California from 2019 through 2021, playing primarily at right guard. In total, Mettauer didn't allow a single sack over his last 1,458 pass-blocking snaps in college.

DB Derrick "D.J." Miller (Kent State)

A native of O'Fallon, Missouri just outside of St. Louis, Miller appeared in 12 games (11 starts) at cornerback for Kent State last season, recording 50 tackles, three pass-breakups and one interception. It marked Miller's second season at Kent State following a campaign in which he tallied 46 tackles and three passes defensed in 2022.

Prior to transferring to Kent State, the 5-foot-11, 187-pound Miller spent three seasons at Iowa State, appearing in 28 games.

P Ryan Rehkow (BYU)

The No. 2 punter in this year's class according to The Athletic's Dane Brugler, Rehkow appeared in 50 games during his career for the Cougars. He booted 176 punts in that time, averaging 47.4 yards-per-punt while dropping 74 of them inside the opponents' 20-yard line.

Rehkow recorded at least one 70-yard punt in each of the last three seasons, including an 83-yard punt in 2021.

DB Christian Roland-Wallace (USC)

The 6-foot-tall, 200-pound Roland-Wallace was a four-year starter at Arizona (2019-22) before transferring to USC for the 2023 season. He left his mark, too, as he led the Trojans in passes defensed (11) and interceptions (2) in 12 games (8 starts).

An experienced player, Roland-Wallace recorded 3,326 defensive snaps and 536 special teams snaps in college, and he didn't miss a game over the last five years. Here's more from The Athletic's Dane Brugler:

"Roland-Wallace has a well-rounded skill set with the size and compete skills that will keep NFL teams interested. He projects as a rotational backup who can be steady on special teams."

RB Carson Steele (UCLA)

A standout at Ball State, Steele racked up 1,556 rushing yards and 15 total touchdowns in 2022 as part of an all-conference campaign that included 96 forced missed tackles. He then transferred to UCLA last season, where he led the Bruins in rushing yards (847).

Steele – who can bench 450 pounds and squat 675 pounds – was also a member of Bruce Feldman's annual "Freaks List" due to his athletic traits.

OL Nick Torres (Villanova)

A versatile offensive line prospect, Torres logged significant experience at right tackle, right guard and left tackle during his time in college. He was most recently the Wildcats' starting right guard, recording 672 snaps at that spot in 2023.

Torres stands at 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds.

LB Luquay Washington (Central Connecticut State)

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Washington recorded 31 tackles, 4.5 tackles-for-loss, two pass-breakups and an interception in seven games at Central Connecticut State last season.

He tallied 37 appearances in his career from 2019 though 2023, recording 110 total tackles, 16.5 tackles-for-loss, seven sacks, three interceptions and two forced fumbles.
