The Chiefs and TMC hosted Touchdown Family Fest

On Saturday, for the fourth consecutive year, the Chiefs and Truman Medical Centers (TMC) hosted Touchdown Family Fest, a health and wellness fair at Arrowhead Stadium.

The event offered free vision and dental screenings, as well as, sports physicals and a Play 60 clinic. KC Wolf, Chiefs players and cheerleaders were on-site signing autographs, meeting fans and teaching the youth about the Play 60 ideals.

“This event helped some families get ready to go back to school, get those dental check-ups in and they learned about the importance of being active and staying healthy,” Chiefs OL Eric Kush noted. “It’s awesome to see the kids be so excited and smiling ear to ear. We signed autographs, took photos and the kids really enjoyed seeing their favorite football team.”

The youth loved interacting with the Chiefs players and exploring Arrowhead Stadium. This free, citywide event helped those in need and continued to promote healthy living with an emphasis on diet, exercise and the importance of regular doctor checkups and immunizations.

The Touchdown Family Fest has grown each year as the Chiefs and TMC continue to serve the Kansas City community.

“We hope that through events like these, fans will feel they are a part of our team,” Chuck Castellano, Chiefs Community Relations Manager said. “The Touchdown Family Fest was a fabulous continuation of the Chiefs Play 60 health and wellness outreach and was an incredible chance to serve many of our area’s under-served.”
