Succop Kicks Season Long, Continues Streak: K Ryan Succop connected on all three of his field goals in today’s contest, pushing his consecutive made field goal streak to 13. He also made a 52-yard field goal to mark his season long for 2012. He now has seven career field goals of 50+ yards to rank third in team history.

Johnson Breaks Tackle Plateau: LB Derrick Johnson recorded 10 solo tackles in the game, including three for loss. His 10 tackles today gives him 809 career tackles to rank sixth in club history. He became just the sixth Chiefs player to record more than 800 career tackles. It was his second consecutive double-digit tackle performance as he recorded 12 tackles (10 solo) at Tampa Bay (10/14).

Bowe Moves Up in Record Book: WR Dwayne Bowe caught three passes for 65 yards (21.7 avg.) in today’s contest, giving him 393 career receptions to rank fourth in team history. He passed E Chris Burford (391). He led all Kansas City receivers with 65 yards.

Routt’s INT: CB Stanford Routt recorded his second interception as a member of the Chiefs and his 12th career interception as he picked off Oakland QB Carson Palmer on the opening play from scrimmage. He returned the interception 17 yards.

Third-Down Defense: The Chiefs held Oakland’s offense to 2-of-12 conversions on third down (16.7%) in the contest.

McCluster’s Receptions: WR Dexter McCluster tied career highs with six receptions and one receiving touchdown.

O’Connell’s Day: TE Jake O’Connell tied a career high with three receptions.

Getting Involved: Eight different players caught passes in today’s contest. Three Chiefs receivers recorded more than 50 yards receiving – Dwayne Bowe (65), Tony Moeaki (57), and Dexter McCluster (54). Five pass catchers had at least three receptions in today’s game – McCluster (6), Moeaki (4), Bowe (3), Jake O’Connell (3), and Jamaal Charles (3).

Colquitt’s Day: P Dustin Colquitt punted five times for 236 yards, good for a 47.2 gross average and a 39.6 net average. He landed two punts inside the 20-yard line. Going into this weekend’s games, Colquitt had landed 16 punts inside the 20 this season to rank fourth in the NFL. As of Sunday evening, Colquitt’s 18 punts inside the 20-yard line are tied for second in the NFL behind Green Bay P Tim Masthay. One player tied with 18 inside the 20 – Arizona’s Dave Zastudil – plays on Monday Night Football.
