My Day at the Chiefs Facility

Many people don’t think that it’s a big deal if your mom or dad takes you to their workplace. To me, though, it is a huge deal!

My dad, Rob Alberino, the Vice President of Media and Marketing, asked me if I would like to come to work with him on Friday, May 4th.  Of course I said, “YES!”  When I was asked to come, I thought it was going to be a lot of fun and a lot of messing around but then I realized that what my dad does is both fun and work.  It actually turned out to be more work than fun.

In the 65 Toss Power Trap edit suites and offices, we had to prepare for a full day.  Then we went down to the studio and shot videos for the fans.  That was thrilling!  Then, as the day continued, we went to meetings and I watched my dad with his coworkers as they worked on all kinds of cool things.  They even picked out the perfect music to be played at Arrowhead Stadium.

The office was busy – very busy!  Everyone was working so hard that when my dad and I walked down the halls, everyone either had a pen in their hand their hand or their fingers on their keyboard.  There sure was a lot getting done!!
I think Take Your Kid to Work Day is awesome.

My favorite part, though, is to do all of these fun things with my dad because it made me feel like a true part of the Chiefs Kingdom.
