The crazy time of year that is free agency is fast approaching, so KCChiefs.com has you covered with a 30-day free agency look, highlighting the 30 most intriguing free agents or players who could be released/traded during the offseason.

You may have noticed, there are no restricted free agents on the list, largely because they rarely leave their current teams. None of the reports are indicative of the Chiefs plans for the 2013 free agency season.

DAY 4 of 30

Name: Reggie Bush

Position: RB

Height: 6'0

Weight: 203

College: USC

Born: March 2nd, 1985 (San Diego, California)

Age: 27

Experience: 7 years

Drafted: 2006, 1st Round-2nd pick overall by New Orleans Saints

Bush just completed his seventh NFL season, his second with the Miami Dolphins.

STRENGTHS:

Reggie Bush is versatile, to say the least. Breaking into the league with the New Orleans Saints, he was utilized as both a running back and return specialist. Since taking his talents to South Beach, he was fed the rock on a more-consistent basis and produced two quality seasons. Check out Reggie's cobmined rushing-receiving yards and TD totals throughout his career:

Dual-Threat Numbers

Year/Comb.Yards/TDs

2006/1,307/8

2007/998/6

2008/844/6

2009/725/8

2010/358/1

2011/1,382/7 (Miami)

2012/1,278/8 (Miami)

Bush has had his two best seasons as a running back with the Miami Dolphins, totaling 1,086 yards in 2011 and 986 yards in 2012. He averaged 14.2 carries a game last year.

WEAKNESSES:

Over the course of his career, Bush has been injury-prone, missing 21 regular season games. However, playing the various RB/returner roles, it's surprising the injury bug hasn't hit him more. During his tenure with the Saints, he completed a full 16-game season once.

He has struggled with consistently protecting the football, fumbling 27 times (losing 14), since entering the league.

FINAL TAKE:

According to CBS NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Bush's "versatility will serve him well on the open market."

Wherever Bush plays football in 2013, his work ethic and personality in the locker room will likely be very accepted, as they were in the Dolphins locker room.

Plus, there's something to be said for a guy who can give you quality reps in the backfield, while being able to take a screen pass and enjoy making people miss.

Oh yeah, it also never hurts to be a Super Bowl champion (XLIV).
