There were a few Kansas City Chiefs players who left the game on Thursday night with injuries that are of note:
Receivers AJ Jenkins (concussion) and Kyle Williams (shoulder) both left the game early and did not return.
The receiver position has been one of the key positional groups throughout this preseason for the Chiefs. Both Jenkins and Williams have been right in the thick of that battle.
Also leaving the game early was inside linebacker Nico Johnson (quad).
Johnson and Josh Mauga have been competing for the starting inside linebacker spot since veteran Joe Mays injured his wrist two weeks ago. Now with Johnson dealing with an injury, this is something to monitor as we get closer to the regular season opener on September 7 against the Tennessee Titans.
DeMarcus Van Dyke (ankle), Tyler Bray and Vance Walker (hand) also had injuries during the game.
With the roster having to be at 53 players by Saturday at 3 p.m. CST, plus these injuries, there are a lot of things to watch right now for the Chiefs.
