The players are tearing up the field, the fans are cheering, and the coaches are formulating the next play, all while the Kansas City Chiefs production team, press box, and sideline reporters are busy at work. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes of a Chiefs game and the new Gameday Tour provides fans the opportunity to see what happens off the field.
The tour includes the Draft room, the Broadcast Lounge and Suite, a visit to the production booth on the Press Level, the Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable and access onto the field, right next to the Chiefs Bench to watch the field preparation and pre-game warm-ups. At the end of the tour fans receive a team roster card, Chiefs Yearbook and a Chiefs Pro Shop coupon as a thank you for taking this exclusive gameday only experience.
Alan Kastler, a Chiefs Season Ticket Holder, described the tour as an all access pass.
“I’ve been on stadium tours in the past but this got me into some areas I had never seen before. It was a neat experience to go to places other people don’t get to go to on a regular basis,” Kastler said.
“I would definitely recommend it to anybody, even if they’ve toured the stadium before, this would be worth it because you’re going to see some areas that others don’t get to see.”
Kastler said the best part of the tour was the time spent on the sideline next to the players as they warmed up right before game time.
“My season tickets are Row 1 so I’m already down in the action but when you’re right on the field, right next to the guys, it’s a completely different and unique experience.”
Cindy Kenschaft and her husband are also season ticket holders. Cindy agreed on the uniqueness of the tour and described it as a, “once in a lifetime experience.” She went on to say, “(It) revved us up for the season.”
This tour takes fans to many different areas and Jesse McDaniel, a fellow season ticket holder, said it only leaves you wanting more.
“Every place we went left you wanting more…It left you saying, ‘I want to do that again’.”
McDaniel described the production booth as an unreal behind the scenes look.
“It was really cool in and of itself just because it’s only a select few get to go in there and actually see what they’re looking at and producing for the big screen. It was pretty cool.”
There are eight dates available for the tour. For more information call 816.920.4840 or visit http://goarrowhead.com/gameday-tour/
