The Kansas City Chiefs woke up this morning to a steady rainfall and an overcast sky that covered LP Field; hours later, the rain stopped, the Chiefs won the toss and elected to receive.

The Chiefs defense forced another three-and-out, before getting the ball back for its first drive of the second quarter. Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles took the carry and was hit, fumbled and Tennessee recovered.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has said in the past that he loves the way his team helps one another out, on offense, defense and special teams, which again happened as the Chiefs defense forced another punt.
Kansas City was unable to add to its lead, on the ensuing drive, before Colquitt came in and sent a punt 54 yards to the Titans 35-yard line.
The Titans had success moving the ball on their next drive, thanks to a 37-yard run by Titans RB Jackie Battle and a 15-yard reception by Titans TE Delanie Walker. Following the Avery catch, Alex Smith found Chiefs TE Sean McGrath for 25 yards, before Jamaal took a reception for another eight yards, followed by a six-yard rush, before the two-minute warning.
Kansas City was unable to get in the end zone, as Chiefs K Ryan Succop later booted a 29-yard FG, to give his team a 13-0 lead and it stayed that way into the third quarter.

Following a pass interference call against the Titans, drawn by Bowe, Jamaal Charles took the ball in from one yard out. Following Succop's extra point, the Chiefs took a 20-17 lead, with 6:23 to play in the fourth quarter.

The Titans next drive ended in the hands of Chiefs CB Marcus Cooper, who made an unbelievable INT, which stood after the review, giving Alex Smith and the offense the ball right back, on the Titans 33-yard line.
The Chiefs went to Jamaal on three-straight carries, covering 16, seven and zero yards. Facing a third-and-eight, with 4:18 to play, from the 15-yard line, Alex's pass was knocked down, leading to another Ryan Succop FG, this one from 33 yards out.

The Chiefs defense kept the Titans from scoring on their final drive of the game, securing the 26-17 victory.
