The latest from the Chiefs

This week, Kansas City hosted the 101 Awards where Head Coach Andy Reid, RB Jamaal Charles and CB Marcus Cooper were honored. 

Also this week, Chiefs Insider, Reid Ferrin, discussed a few of the free agents, including WR Eric Decker, SS T.J. Ward, and FS Jairus Byrd. 

Plus, the Chiefs Community Caring Team, including Marcus Cooper and Josh Martin, visited local schools for Read Across America Day.

Jamaal Charles and his wife Whitney attended the 101 Awards last weekend and posted this photo from the event. Jamaal wrote, “I had a great time at the 101 Awards.”

Jamaal's wife, Whitney posted a photo from the 101 Awards as well saying, “#RP @djcharles25 "44th Annual 101 Awards #chiefsnation #MVP... thanks to my teammates selecting me" Date Night with my MVP.”

Kansas City Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt announced on Saturday, at the 101 Awards Banquet, that Priest Holmes will be the 2014 inductee into the Chiefs Hall of Fame. Holmes is the 44thplayer to earn this honor and will be officially enshrined to the Chiefs Hall of Fame during the Chiefs Alumni Weekend at Arrowhead Stadium this fall. While with the Chiefs, Holmes recorded 6,070 rushing yards with 76 touchdowns, and tallied 83 total touchdowns, breaking franchise records in all three categories. Read more here.
