Highlights from the Chiefs players social media accounts about the NFL Draft

The draft is officially in the books! The Chiefs took to Twitter to welcome their newest teammates, and those drafted were sure to give a shout out to the Chiefs Kingdom.

In the first round, the Chiefs selected LB Dee Ford out of Auburn.

With the 87th overall pick, the Chiefs selected CB Phillip Gaines at 6-1, 185-pounds from Rice.

In the fourth round, the Chiefs selected Oregon's RB De’Anthony Thomas at 5-8, 174-pounds.

With the 163rd overall pick, the Chiefs drafted Georgia QB Aaron Murray.

In the sixth round, the Chiefs selected G Zach Fulton out of Tennessee.

With the 200th pick, the Chiefs selected T Laurent Duvernay-Tardif at 6-5, 315-pounds out of McGill.

Following the draft, some of the Chiefs recognized their former universities and those drafted.

Derrick Johnson reminisced about his own draft day.

Now that the draft is over, the guys are ready to get back to work and meet their new teammates.
