Chiefs Sign OL Rokevious Watkins, Waive Tepper

Kansas City Chiefs 2013 roster continues to take shape

The Kansas City Chiefs signed offensive lineman Rokevious Watkins and waived tackle Mike Tepper, the team announced today.
    
Watkins (6-3, 338) played in one contest his rookie season in 2012 with the St. Louis Rams. He originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round selection (150th overall) of the Rams in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at South Carolina, where he was an All-SEC selection. The Fairburn, Georgia native prepped at Creekside High School, the same high school as Chiefs Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry.

Tepper, who has played in six games (four starts) in one NFL season with the Indianapolis Colts (2011), split time in 2011 and 2012 between the Colts practice squad and active roster, before being released on Aug. 31, 2012.

He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 2010. He was released by Dallas before the start of the 2010 season.

Tepper played collegiately at California and prepped at Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, California.
