In his new role with the Chiefs, Alberino will oversee all the club’s media partnerships, including the team’s preseason television broadcasts, as well as all Chiefs television and radio programming. He will also be responsible for maintaining kcchiefs.com as the foremost destination for complete and innovative coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs. In addition, Alberino will play a key role in Kansas City’s marketing initiatives as the franchise prepares to celebrate the grand opening of the New Arrowhead in 2010.
From its inception in ’97, Alberino helped build the Eagles Television Network into one of the league’s most highly-respected producers of fresh, compelling and award-winning programming. He was responsible for the creation, production and direction of all live Eagles events, overseeing all preseason game broadcasts, five weekly television shows and three weekly radio programs.
During his time with Philadelphia, Alberino was nominated for 140 Regional Emmys and was honored as the winner of 38 Emmys, including the following categories: Best Director (seven times), Live Events (seven times), Outstanding Feature (five times), Technical Achievement (four times), Production Design (four times), Best Sports Series (three times) and Best Children’s Series (three times), as well as others. The New Haven, Connecticut native also received over 100 national Telly Awards and numerous regional accolades for his work with the Eagles Television Network.
Prior to joining the Eagles, Alberino worked at NFL Films, where his numerous credits included serving as a writer/director for HBO’s Emmy Award-winning program, “Inside the NFL.” In addition to previous experience with several private production companies, Alberino’s resume also includes work at television and radio stations in both Pennsylvania and Connecticut. A ’92 graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Alberino serves on the Board of Governors of First Twenty, a non-profit organization that benefits volunteer firefighters.
