KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Monday changes in the club’s Player Engagement Department. Chiefs Vice President of Administration Kirsten Krug will oversee the department with the assistance of newly-promoted Manager of Player Engagement B.J. Stabler. Krug and Stabler appointed Rahman Anjorin as the club’s new Player Engagement Assistant to aid in the department’s daily responsibilities.
The department’s mission is to optimize the personal and professional growth of the club’s players and staff members through guidance and support before, during and after their NFL careers. Under the new structure, the Chiefs will utilize a team of experienced external resources to assist players and staff with mental, emotional and physical wellness instruction, as well as mentoring and career development.
“We believe this integrated approach will provide the best resources to our players and staff,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said. “We worked with the NFL’s Player Engagement and Human Resource departments to utilize the best practices from around the league in our new model.”
Krug, entering her fourth season with the Chiefs, has worked in human resources and employee development for more than 17 years. She specializes in organizational growth and is experienced in staff development, education and training programs, crisis management, organizational/cultural wellness and diversity initiatives.
Stabler enters his third year with the club. He originally joined the Chiefs as the team’s Player Development Assistant in 2011 after graduating from Alabama where he played on the offensive line. Stabler has experience in training and development as well as crisis management.
Anjorin joins the team after most recently serving as Life Skills and Academic Coordinator at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M.
