Chiefs celebrate 50 years in Kansas City!

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – As part of the Chiefs celebration of 50 years in Kansas City, Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt announced a fan caravan that would make scheduled stops throughout Kansas and Missouri, offering fans the opportunity to interact with former Chiefs greats, take photos and feel closer than ever to their team.

The Chiefs Celebration Tour’s next stop will be in Topeka, Kan., Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Hy-Vee on SW Wanamaker Road. The tour will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The club’s first stop was in St. Joseph, Mo., during the Chiefs 2012 Training Camp Presented by Heartland Health.

“We are extremely proud to have called Kansas City home for 50 years,” Hunt said. “Kansas City is the ‘Home of the Chiefs,’ but our following extends far beyond the city limits. In honor of our fans across the region, we’re going to take our celebration on the road, traveling around the area to say thank you to all who have supported us over the years.”

All tour stops will include autograph and photo opportunities with Hall of Fame greats Len Dawson and Bobby Bell. The first 200 people will receive a pass to get autographs (subject to availability). All fans will get the opportunity to take a photo with the Lombardi Trophy from the Chiefs victory in Super Bowl IV during the tour stops.

In addition to Len Dawson and Bobby Bell, the Chiefs Cheerleaders, KC Wolf, team executives and Chiefs media personalities including Mitch Holthus, Josh Looney or Shanna Hilt will also make appearances at the various tour stops.
