Chiefs move to 5-0 at Arrowhead

The Arrowhead Advantage: The Chiefs are off to a 5-0 start at Arrowhead for the first time since going 8-0 at home in 2003. Kansas City has recorded five consecutive home wins for the first time since 10/1/06 – 11/23/06. The Chiefs have allowed 20 points or less in all five of their home games and are allowing 13.4 ppg at home in 2010. The Chiefs are 4-0 at Arrowhead vs. Cardinals, marking the only franchise the Chiefs have posted a perfect record against at Arrowhead (min. four games). The Chiefs have outscored the Cardinals by a 152-51 margin in those four contests. The Chiefs have won eight straight contests vs. NFC West opponents dating back to 2002.

 

Bowe’s Streaks Continue: WR Dwayne Bowe posted a TD catch in his sixth consecutive game, bypassing E Chris Burford and WR Otis Taylor for the longest streak in franchise history. Bowe tied a career high with two TD catches, marking the fifth time in his career that he has accomplished that feat. Bowe’s 11 TD receptions are tied as the second-highest single-season total in franchise history. He now has 27 career TD receptions. He finished the game with 109 yards, marking his third 100-yard game of the season and the eighth of his career. Bowe has caught a pass in 45 consecutive games. Over his last six games, Bowe has recorded 36 catches for 563 yards with 10 TDs. Bowe’s 27 career TD catches rank eighth in team history, while his 45 career receptions of 20+ yards rank fifth.

Jones’ Scores: RB Thomas Jones registered his first two-TD game as a member of the Chiefs. He now has five rushing TDs on the season and 67 for his career. It was his 13th career game with two or more rushing TDs.

Cassel Stats: QB Matt Cassel registered a 115.5 rating against Arizona, his second consecutive game with a 100.0 rating (min. 20 atts.). Cassel has four 100.0-rating games this season and 10 for his career. Cassel has thrown two or more TDs in six games this season. Cassel has thrown 18 TDs and just four INTs on the season. He has thrown 95 consecutive passes without an interception.

Sack Stats: The Chiefs did not permit a sack for the second time this season. LB Demorrio Williams registered his first sack of the season. He has 7.5 for his career. CB Javier Arenas registered his first career sack.

Vrabel Hits 200, Other Participation Notes: LB Mike Vrabel played in his 200th career game. He is one of 27 active players and just one of five linebackers to play in 200 or more regular season games. WR Verran Tucker made his first career start.

Succop’s Day: K Ryan Succop made a 23-yard FG. He is now 39 of 46 (84.8%) as a member of the Chiefs.
