CHIEFS WAIVE LINEBACKER CAMERON SHEFFIELD

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Tuesday that the club has waived linebacker Cameron Sheffield.

Sheffield (6-2, 257) played in 17 games (one start) in two seasons with the Chiefs. He recorded eight tackles (five solo) while with the club. He originally joined Kansas City as a fifth-round draft pick (142nd overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft. Sheffield spent his rookie season on the club’s injured reserve list. The Portal, Ga. native, was an All-Sun Belt Conference linebacker out of Troy.
