KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that the team has signed free agent WR Zeke Markshausen.
Markshausen (5-11, 185) spent time on Kansas City’s practice squad after entering training camp with the Chiefs in 2011. He also appeared in training camp with Chicago in 2010.
Markshausen played in 27 games at Northwestern, catching 92 passes for 864 yards with three touchdowns. He added four carries for nine yards during his collegiate career. As a senior, he registered 91 receptions for 858 yards with three scores. His 91 catches were the second-highest seasonal total in Northwestern history. He was an all-conference selection at North Boone High School in Poplar Grove, Ill.
