Mays (6-1, 245) has played in 48 games (14 starts) with New England (2006-07), Cincinnati (2007-08) and Kansas City (2009). He has recorded 116 tackles (71 solo), a pass defensed, a forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four QB pressures and 40 special teams tackles. Mays played in 16 games (13 starts) for Kansas City in 2009, ranking second on the squad with a career-high 100 tackles (64 solo). He also added a pass defensed and four QB pressures.
The Chicago, Illinois native appeared in 46 games (13 starts) at Notre Dame, where he started 12 contests at middle linebacker as a senior. Mays prepped at Morgan Park High School in Chicago.
