Flowers (5-9, 187) intercepted two passes, including one he returned 58 yards for a touchdown in a 28-0 victory at Oakland (10/23). He added five tackles (three solo) and four passes defensed against the Raiders. It marked the second multi-interception performance of his career (10/26/08 at the N.Y. Jets) and the third time he has returned an INT for a score. The Chiefs defense picked off six passes on Sunday, tying for the second-most in franchise history.
In six starts this season, Flowers has 34 tackles (24 solo), four interceptions for 95 yards and 11 passes defensed. His four INTs are tied for the AFC lead and tied for second in the NFL, while his 95 return yards rank fifth in the league.
The Virginia Tech product has appeared in 50 games (49 starts) for Kansas City, registering 258 tackles (206 solo), 13 INTs returned for 284 yards with three TDs, 67 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
