The country music/southern rock duo of Adam Thomas and Harry Travis are the winners of the inaugural Voice of the Kingdom contest.
Part of the Chiefs 50 years in Kansas City celebration, the Voice of the Kingdom contest invited fans to submit video of themselves singing the National Anthem for a chance to perform the Star-Spangled Banner before the Chiefs-Seahawks game on August 24th.
A pool of candidates from across the country was whittled down to 18 semi-finalists and then to a field of five finalists who Chiefs fans voted for from July 17th-23rd.
Travis and Thomas both sing in a country/southern rock band and have performed all across the country. They play many covers, but also write originals and have had their music on the radio overseas and in Nashville, Tennessee.
Here is their semi-finalist audition at Arrowhead Stadium earlier this month:
Adam Thomas & Harry Travis: 7,811
Joan’s Boys: 4,196
Ron Gutierrez: 3,088
Mandy Peck 2,024
Michelle Knollhoff 2,004
