Seattle got on the board first with a 36-yard field goal from K Steven Hauschka with 7:29 left on the clock in the first quarter.
After a quick appearance and a three-and-out from the Chiefs offense the defense returned to the field. Quarterback Russell Wilson passed deep right to WR Braylon Edwards for 32 yards. After a two yard gain followed by an incomplete pass Wilson was sacked at the Chiefs 21 yard line. But Hauschka kicked a 39-yard field goal to make it 6-0 with 1:55 left in the first.

Inching their way down the field the Chiefs made it to the 25-yard line before punting 37 yards.
After only three plays TE Kellen Winslow caught a 21-yard pass from Wilson in the end zone and Hauschka’s extra point gave the Seahawks a 16-point lead.
Bowe caught a first down pass for nine yards from Cassel and it seemed to light a spark in the Chiefs offense. The Chiefs marched down the field in the second quarter as the Chiefs entered a no huddle and the tempo began to pick up.

Less than a minute left in the first half the Seahawks once again made their way down the field and into the end zone. An 11-yard touchdown pass from Wilson to WR Charly Martin increased the score to 23-7 as the teams made their way to the locker room for halftime. Seattle’s drive was extended by two roughing the passer penalties on OLB ![]()
At the start of the third quarter RB Robert Turbin ran for a 25-yard touchdown and Hauschka’s kick pushed the score up 30-7.

A 57-yard punt from K Matt Szymanski was returned by WR Golden Tate for 92 yards and a touchdown. Hauschka’s field goal made the score 44-7 with 2:12 left in the third.
