The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that the club has promoted WR Quinten Lawrence to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

Lawrence (6-0, 184) was a sixth-round pick (175th overall) of the Chiefs in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played in Kansas City’s first two games in 2009, rushing one time for 16 yards and returning one kickoff for 17 yards. He has spent the last four weeks on the practice squad. The Carencro, Louisiana native played in 37 games (32 starts) at McNeese State, catching 99 passes for 1,905 yards (19.2 avg.) with 15 TDs and returning 22 kickoffs for 419 yards (18.9 avg.). Lawrence also had a 70-yard punt return TD.
