Chiefs-Jaguars Postgame Notes

Starting Notes: S DaJuan Morgan made his first NFL start. WR Chris Chambers and G Andy Allemen both made their initial starts as members of the Chiefs. G Mike Goff had a streak of 113 consecutive starts snapped.

First-Drive Points: The Chiefs scored their initial points of the season on their opening drive on a 45-yard FG by K Ryan Succop FG. 

Another Two-TD Day For Cassel: QB Matt Cassel registered his fourth multi-TD game of the season and the 10th of his career. Cassel now has 10 TDs on the season and 33 for his career. Cassel’s 262 passing yards and 96.3 rating were his highest totals as a member of the Chiefs.

Team Passing Stats: Kansas City threw for 241 net passing yards, the club’s highest total since registering 312 vs. Miami (12/12/08). 

Chambers’ Debut: WR Chris Chambers recorded two TDs (54 and five yards) in his Kansas City debut, his 10th career multi-TD game. His 54-yard TD catch was Kansas City’s longest offensive play of the season.

Turnover Stats: S DaJuan Morgan registered his first career fumble recovery. LB Derrick Johnson forced the WR Torry Holt fumble, the 11th forced fumble of his career. 

Two-Point Conversion: The Chiefs registered a two-point conversion for the first time since doing it vs. Oakland (9/14/08).

Sack Stats: DE Wallace Gilberry now owns 3.0 sacks on the season.

Specialist Stats: P Dustin Colquitt tied a season high with four punts inside the 20. K Ryan Succop produced his third game of the season with two or more made FGs. 

Long Catch: WR Lance Long had a career-long 27-yard reception.
