Chiefs Sign Free Agent CB Travis Daniels, Place S Jarrad Page on IR

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that the club has signed free agent CB Travis Daniels.

Daniels (6-1, 195) attended training camp with Kansas City in 2009, but was released prior to the regular season. He has played in 51 games (26 starts) with Miami (2005-07) and Cleveland (2008). He owns 126 tackles (93 solo), three INTs for 31 yards, 19 passes defensed and one fumble recovery. Daniels originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round draft choice (104th overall) of the Dolphins in 2005. The Hollywood, Florida native appeared in 33 games (26 starts) at LSU, producing 109 tackles, 2.0 sacks, two INTs and 38 passes defensed for the Tigers. He was a first-team Class 4A All-Florida selection as a senior at South Broward High School in Hollywood, Florida.

The Chiefs placed S Jarrad Page on injured reserve on Wednesday. Page has played in 53 career games (39 starts) with the Chiefs, producing 204 tackles (179 solo), a sack (-3.0 yards), 10 INTs for 69 yards, 24 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one QB pressure. He also owns 17 special teams tackles. He entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick (228th overall) of Kansas City in 2006.
