Tickets Still Available for KSU-ISU Clash at Arrowhead
Sep 29, 2009, 11:33:02 AMTickets are still available for this weekend’s Big 12 football showdown at Arrowhead Stadium between the Kansas State Wildcats and the Iowa State Cyclones at 2:10 PM on Saturday, October 3rd. This game will be the first of two meetings at Arrowhead between the schools. Iowa State will be the home team on Saturday with Kansas State playing host in 2010.
“We are all excited to showcase the New Arrowhead to another group of passionate fans from both Kansas State and Iowa State,” stated Chiefs COO Mark Donovan. “We want to thank both schools and our stadium operations staff as they prepare for a big weekend of football.”
The Chiefs will host the N.Y. Giants the following day on Sunday, October 4th.
Both schools own 2-1 records are coming off dominating victories entering the Big 12 opener for both schools. Kansas State routed Tennessee Tech by a 49-7 margin and Iowa State registered a 31-10 victory vs. Army.
Saturday’s game will mark the fifth appearance at Arrowhead for Kansas State. The Wildcats last visited Arrowhead for the 2003 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship vs. Oklahoma. Iowa State returns to Arrowhead for the second time after facing Florida State in the 2002 Eddie Robinson Classic. Dating back to ‘72, Arrowhead has hosted 24 college football games.
