The Kansas City Chiefs announced today that the Central Bancompany member banks will be the “Official Bank of the Chiefs.” Metcalf Bank, in Kansas City, is the lead bank on this initiative and will guide the relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club. The partnership includes the rights to offer a Chiefs Checking account with a co-branded Kansas City Chiefs MasterCard® debit card and checks from the Harland Clarke Company. The partnership also includes an advertising component in Arrowhead Stadium and on www.kcchiefs.com to promote the bank’s official Kansas City Chiefs checking products.

Central Bancompany CEO Bryan Cook said, “We think the timing is perfect for this partnership. The strength of the Chiefs brand in Kansas City is unmatched. Likewise, Metcalf Bank, our local affiliate, is quickly gaining recognition in the press and on the street as an emerging banking force in greater Kansas City. To help celebrate Derrick Thomas’ induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Metcalf Bank today donated 192 tickets, split between the Derrick Thomas Academy and the Third and Long Foundation, to the club’s game vs. Denver (12/6).
