WR MARK BRADLEY
On the game

: “Just got to keep fighting; the thing is you bend but you don’t break. This team is a team that is going to fight regardless of the circumstances and situations that have presented themselves. I like what I see as far as the fight in the team and we just have to keep pressing and get over the hump.”

You were able to go down the field with some pretty good success: “Those are some of those balls that we throw down the field and things that we do normally. Regardless of the weather circumstances on the field, we’re going to run our offense into the weather. We were able to move the ball up and down the field and were successful so we stuck with it.”

Can you talk about how difficult it was to play in those type of conditions? “It’s the type of game that tests your will, your manpower. Sometimes you won’t be able feel your fingers, but you’ve got to fight through it and still go out there and do your job. Your job is to go out there on Sundays and, regardless of the weather, you still have to go out and perform.”

RB JAMAAL CHARLES
On his 75-yard reception
: “I was just trying to make something happen and to go down there and get a score, but I got caught from the back. We ended up getting a touchdown anyways though. I just tried to go out there and fight because I wanted to win so bad today.”

Have you ever been caught from behind before? “No, this was my first time. I had all of this cold stuff on. I saw him coming and I thought I was still going to get in (the end zone). I tried to dive for a few more steps, but I got caught.”

Have you ever played in weather like this? “This is my first time ever playing in something this cold. I was freezing on the sideline and kept putting stuff on, but they were making me take all that cold stuff off.”

S BERNARD POLLARD
Can you just talk about how things went?
“As a team we have to come out here and we have to compete every down. There’s no back-and-forth between good teams. Somebody has to step up and make plays. I thought our defense played well. At times there were breakdowns and missed tackles. They created big plays. They ran the ball very well and broke tackles. Yards after the first hit were really big for them. This is a very disappointing loss as well as the other losses we’ve had. We’ve got to step back and look at it and we’ve got one more game to prepare for next week.”

You guys were forcing turnovers, it seems like you’re going in the right direction: “It’s definitely pointing in the right direction. We’re in every game, we’re playing every game and we’re just not finishing well. That’s a big thing. As a player, you’ve got to come out here and do your job.”

T DAMION MCINTOSH
On Jamaal Charles’ long reception, you made blocks on a couple guys
: “It was a wide screen. I was able to get out clean. I got the corner, my main assignment and the safety was around so I was able to get a good, clean block on the next guy too.”

Did you guys set up anything special for Dolphins LB Joey Porter because he disappeared? “I had him one-on-one. We don’t use chips in our blocking assignments. We were able to block him straight up. We don’t double-team on anybody, really. I had him one-one-one. I know how he is. It’s not the first time I’ve faced him. Granted, he’s done very well this year, but we’re not going to go and do something special. We’ve faced a lot of good guys this whole year. I think we’ve been holding up our end of the bargain as far as them not getting to Tyler (Thigpen). Tyler’s done very well. He won’t hold on to the ball too long. He’ll either run it or get rid of the ball, which is big.”

Was Porter talking a lot today? “Haven’t heard him. He was silent as a mouse, which is cool. It was a cold day. There’s no need for jawing. We just play so that’s what we were doing, just playing.”

How was it playing in those frigid conditions? “It’s one of those mindsets you’ve got to be in. Just go out there and be prepared for rough football. They have to be prepared for that also. Then continue that for the whole game because the cold does wear you down.”

LB ROCKY BOIMAN
What were you guys playing for today?
“The same thing we’ve been playing for the last three, four or five weeks. You play for pride as a football player and as a human being. You want to go out there, build, get better and walk out of the stadium with a good feeling. You want to win and walk out of the locker room with a good feeling. That’s what you’re playing for.”

G BRIAN WATERS
Was LB Joey Porter pretty silent out there today?
“Well, he wasn’t silent. He probably didn’t make as many plays as he wanted to, but he’s a good football player and we’ve got some good football players too. I think that T Branden Albert is starting to show that he is definitely a solid left tackle and has the ability to be a dominate left tackle in this league. But you can never make Joey be quiet, that’s just not going to happen.”

Has head coach Herm Edwards shown any signs of distress? “Herman, without a shadow of a doubt, is the most resilient person in this locker room and in this organization. I think that he has a fair understanding of the cards that were dealt when he got here and he understands what he has had to deal with this season. He has had great resolve through all of this. If anybody has led by example, it has been him. He has come into work with the same attitude and the same energy and he has not let this situation or season affect him one way or the other. To be honest with you, I don’t know of many coaches that would be able to hold it together going through the things that we have had to go through and especially with what he has had to deal with for the last three years. I have a great amount of respect for him because of that. I think that a lot of other coaches in a situation like this would be looking for the door. They would be looking for a way out. I think Herm has been right up there at the front ready to take on all of it, so I appreciate that in him as our head coach.”
