Chiefs Fans: Meet QB Tyler Thigpen & Make a Difference

Kansas City Chiefs QB Tyler Thigpen leads the charge this season as he rallies all Red and Gold faithful for the 11th-Annual Chiefs Blood Drive.

Thigpen will make an appearance during a special Chiefs Tailgate for donors at the Midtown Kansas City, MO Blood Center location (4040 Main St.) from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25. There, the second-year veteran will sign autographs, greet donors and laude the benefits of these individuals’ actions as they prepare to give blood.

Chiefs Red Coaters, Chiefs Cheerleaders and KC Wolf will all also be on hand with Thigpen for this special Chiefs tailgate.

Additionally, all Community Blood Center locations will hold their very own Chiefs tailgate extravaganza on Tuesday, November 25 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Thigpen is encouraging all Chiefs fans to visit their local branch and donate blood. Donations will be accepted from 8:00am-6:00pm in most of the nine area Community Blood Center locations making participation a breeze. Last year, the collection registered 2,979 donors during the Thanksgiving Week, which is typically one of the slowest for blood donations. This year, Thigpen is looking for your help to surpass those numbers.

Please note that the drive runs from Monday, November 24 thru Saturday, November 29. If you are unable to attend the Chiefs tailgate festivities on November 25, we encourage everyone to take a moment one day during the week and give blood.

All individuals at least 16 years of age that weigh 115 pounds or more and are in good health are eligible to donate. Participants will receive a limited-edition Chiefs Community Blood Drive t-shirt. Chiefs tickets, signed Chiefs memorabilia and other great prizes will also be given away via drawings in conjunction with this blood drive.
