Oct 29, 2008, 11:49:46 AM

Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that the club has agreed to terms of a two-year contract with T Andrew Carnahan. He was on the practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars for seven weeks in 2008. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.

Carnahan (6-7, 306) comes to Kansas City after spending parts of the 2007 and 2008 seasons on the Jacksonville practice squad. He originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft pick (252nd overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. He attended training camp with the Jaguars each of the last two years, but was released prior to the regular season.

The Hereford, Texas native started all 37 games he played in at Arizona State, including 29 consecutive contests to begin his collegiate career. Carnahan was a four-time Pac-10 All-Academic honoree. He earned first-team All-District 3-4A accolades as a senior at Hereford High School in Hereford, Texas.
