Chiefs add CB Michael Grant to Practice Squad
Oct 29, 2008, 12:40:49 PMKansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that the club has added CB Michael Grant to its practice squad. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.
Grant (5-10, 186) originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Jacksonville in 2008. He attended training camp with the Jaguars, but was released prior to the start of training camp. After switching from cornerback to safety as a junior, Grant appeared in 44 games (22 starts) at Arkansas, posting 167 tackles (127 solo), one sack (-13.0 yards), five tackles for loss (-68.0 yards), nine INTs, 34 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He finished his prep career at Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
