Apr 27, 2008, 11:55:40 AM2008 FOURTH-ROUND DRAFT PICK
Q: Where are you, in St. Louis?
FRANLKIN: “Yes, I’m back in St. Louis.”
Q: What do you think of staying in-state with the Chiefs?
FRANKLIN: “I’m happy.”
Q: What was your first impression when the Chiefs called you?
FRANKLIN: “You get the calls throughout the process and you wait. They say things, but the Chiefs always showed how much interest they had in me. They gave me the call and let me know that they were about to put in the card.”
Q: What are your impressions of Arrowhead Stadium, having in played in it last season?
FRANKLIN: “They have some of the best fans around. Knowing a couple of guys that have played up there and having a lot of teammates from Kansas City and knowing how crazy they are about the Chiefs, I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
Q: What do you know about the Chiefs receiving corps and playing with Dwayne Bowe?
FRANKLIN: “I’m looking forward to that. I actually met him a while back during the Super Bowl. It’s kind of big that I established a relationship with him. I know he’s a good guy and that he’ll help me out as much as I need. In Arizona, where I trained at, he trained at the same facility the year before. He came back to speak and told us that whenever we get drafted he’ll be there for us.”
Q: Do you think you can get reps right away with the Chiefs?
FRANKLIN: “Definitely, I can come in and play at that level and at a high level. My goal is to come in and establish myself as the next receiver.”
