Chiefs QB Brodie CROYLE STOPS by Local High School

Kansas City Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle has spent many years supporting organizations that aid troubled children.
Typically these children have been left parentless, are in economic trouble, or are in abusive situations with their
families. Often times Croyle lets his southern boy smile brighten the lives of each child. This past week he took those
pearly whites to Cristo Rey Catholic School to give some insight into the importance of education in his life.
Brodie spoke to the freshman and sophomores about the important roll secondary/higher education played in his life
growing up as a child and now as an NFL quarterback. Being a graduate of Alabama with a degree in Human Environmental
Science, he knows the significance of a solid learning foundation. The southern slinger informed these kids that even
though he put a lot of time and effort into turning his arm into a football throwing machine, he always put his
education first.
After presenting these words of wisdom, #12 took some time to teach the students some tricks of the trade. Brodie
showed the kids, in a nutshell, the ins and outs of throwing a football. This quick lesson was then followed up by a
throwing competition between a student, one of the school’s nuns, and Brodie… We’ll just say everyone did their best
during this exhibition.
Cristo Rey Kansas City combines a traditional Catholic college-preparatory education with a unique and innovative
corporate work study program. It serves only students in economic need. Cristo Rey Kansas City has signed contracts
with over 70 local companies and organizations to be job sites for students this school year.
