101 THE FOX EXTENDS KANSAS CITY CHIEFS RADIO BROADCAST RIGHTS THROUGH 2009 SEASON

101 the Fox (KCFX-FM) has extended its radio broadcast rights for the Kansas City Chiefs through the 2009 season. The completion of the current contract extension will culminate a twenty-year relationship as the flagship station of the Kansas City Chiefs. The current relationship between 101 the Fox and the Kansas City Chiefs represents the longest standing relationship in the NFL with an FM station.

With 101 the Fox as its flagship, the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network extends throughout the six-state region of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, with over 60 affiliate stations.

Chiefs game day coverage on 101 the Fox features more than eight hours of programming, including the most extensive pre-game coverage in the NFL, as well as an interactive post-game show. The Chiefs Radio Network broadcast team is anchored by play-by-play announcer Mitch Holthus, voice of the Chiefs for thirteen years. Hall of Fame quarterback Len Dawson, in his 22nd year with the Chiefs broadcast team, adds color analysis. Sideline reporter Bob Gretz gives updates from the field, as well as pre-game and post-game commentary. Bill Grigsby adds memories and perspective on game day.
