Gary Glitter is gone, courtesy of a National Football League decision, and with him the nation’s most popular touchdown song, “Rock ‘N Roll, Part II.”

What to do Chiefs fans? We’ve got a solution.

How about helping us select a new touchdown song from a group of three that we have edited for time constraints, lyrical relevance and momentum. You can listen to each one below. Chiefs fans have always thought of themselves as leaders in the celebration of their team’s exploits, so choose wisely, as they say. Here they are:

RED by Sammy Hagar: A classic rock favorite, Sammy is the Red Rocker. A natural given Arrowhead’s Sea of Red, the tune is also a good match because of the lyrics. Moreover, who doesn’t love Sammy? Listen - Real | Windows

ELEVATION by U2: Obviously a celebratory song from one of the biggest bands in the world with a career spanning three decades. Remember their great halftime show from the Super Bowl a few years back? Listen - Real | Windows

BOOM by POD: A little bit harder rock song, this anthem really is all about football. Can’t you just visualize everyone in Arrowhead chanting “BOOM’ as the football sails through the goalposts or one of our defensive guys lays a lick on a opponent causing the ball to come loose and we take it all the way back for a TD.
