Starting Streaks/Games Played: G Will Shields started his 154th consecutive game for the Chiefs, a string which ranks as the longest in KC history and the third-longest active streak in the NFL. Shields has now played in 155 consecutive games, the fifth-longest games played streak in Chiefs history. K Morten Andersen played in his 245th consecutive game, the second-longest streak in NFL history. LB Marvcus Patton and P Dan Stryzinski both played in their 203rd consecutive NFL game.

Total Offense: KC’s 552 total yards at Seattle were the third-highest total in team history and the most since getting 566 yards vs. Detroit (10/14/90). KC’s 32 first downs tied the team record established at Houston (10/24/65). The 64 combined first downs by both teams at Seattle were a team record, breaking the previous mark of 62 at Oakland (11/5/00). The 1,086 combined yards by both teams at Seattle were a team record, breaking the previous mark of 1,013 vs. San Diego (12/11/83).

Rushing Offense: KC’s 217 rushing yards were the club’s most since getting 221 at NE (9/22/02). KC averaged 8.3 yards per carry at Seattle, the second-best mark in team history. KC averaged 9.3 yards per carry at Denver (10/23/66).

First Drive TD: KC scored a TD on its first offensive drive for the third time this season (Miami, Denver).

Fourth-Quarter Scoring/Scoring Defense: KC has established a team record with 134 points in the fourth-quarter in 2002, surpassing the previous mark of 129 in ’62. SF owns the NFL record with 174 fourth-quarter points in ’89. KC’s defense has pitched a shutout in seven of the last 16 quarters and has not allowed a TD in 10 of the last 16 quarters.

Turnover Stats: KC went -1 at Seattle, snapping a string of seven straight games with an even or positive turnover ratio. The Chiefs have not lost a fumble in seven straight games.

Holmes’ Record-Setting Day – Scoring: RB Priest Holmes had three TDs at Seattle (2 rush, 1 rec.), his fourth multi-TD game of the season. His 20 total TDs (17 rush, 3 rec.), surpassed Abner Haynes’ previous team single-season record of 19 TDs in ’62. It was the ninth straight game Holmes has scored a rushing TD, extending his team record for consecutive games with a rushing score, as well as the longest streak of consecutive games with at least one TD (rushing or receiving). Holmes now has 120 points in 2002, the most ever by a Chiefs non-kicker and the third-highest total among all players.

Holmes’ Record-Setting Day - Total Yardage: RB Priest Holmes had a career-high 307 yards from scrimmage (197 rushing, 110 receiving). It marked the fourth time a first Chiefs player to produce 100 yards rushing and 100 yards receiving more than once in a single game. He is the only KC player to do it twice. Those 307 yards were the second-highest total in Chiefs history and the fourth-highest total in NFL history in a single game. His 1,786 total yards on the season are the second-highest total in team history behind only his team-record 2,169 yards in 2001.

Holmes’ Record-Setting Day – Rushing: RB Priest Holmes recorded 197 rushing yards, the second-best single-game performance in Chiefs history and the second-best outing of his career. It was his sixth 100-yard rushing game of the season, his 13th as a member of the Chiefs and the 20th of his career. His 13 100-yard days with KC are second in team history behind only Christian Okoye (14). Holmes now has 1,209 rushing yards on the season, which ranks as the third-best seasonal total in team history.

Holmes’ Record-Setting Day – Receiving: RB Priest Holmes had a career-high 110 receiving yards at Seattle. He is now tied with Paul Palmer for the Chiefs career record for RBs with three 100-yard receiving games. Holmes’ 64-yard TD catch in the second quarter, which tied Eddie Kennison for KC’s longest pass play of the season. It was the second-longest reception of Holmes’ career, second only to a 67-yard reception at Oakland (12/9/01). Holmes now has a career-high three receiving TDs this season. His 63 catches are the fourth-highest seasonal total by a RB in Chiefs history, while his 578 receiving yards are the fourth-highest season mark by a Chiefs RB.

Green’s Day: QB Trent Green threw for a season-high 343 yards at Seattle. It was his second 300-yard game of the season, his fifth with the Chiefs and the 10th of his career. He compiled a 115.2 rating, his third game of the season with a 100.0 rating or better, his fifth such game as a Chief and the 10th such game of his career.

Hall’s Return Stats: WR Dante Hall now has 102 career kickoff returns and 2,314 career kickoff return yards, the second-highest totals in team history. His 42 kickoff returns are the fifth-highest season total in team history, while his 987 kickoff return yards in 2002 are the fourth-highest season tally in Chiefs history.

Harts Sack: S Shaunard Harts recorded his first career sack (-8.0 yards) in the third quarter.

Andersen FG Streak: K Morten Andersen has made at least one FG in 11 straight games with the Chiefs, tying Jan Stenerud and Nick Lowery for the third-longest streak in team history.

Gonzalez Catch Streak: TE Tony Gonzalez has caught at least one pass in 31 consecutive games.
