Spirit School Program
This season, the Kansas City Chiefs have launched the Chiefs Red Friday Spirit School program. Through this initiative, the organization recognizes local schools that exhibit Chiefs fandom for all to see. Each week’s winning school receives a congratulatory assembly led by members of the “
Chiefs Community Caring Team,” focusing on the Chiefs “PLAY 60” message.
Schools that send pictures and narratives of their Chiefs Red Friday Spirit School activities to RedFriday@chiefs.nfl.com will each have the chance to win a “Chiefs Community Caring Team” school assembly. The Chiefs will also recognize a local NFL PLAY 60 Super School this year. One of 34 NFL PLAY 60 Super Schools selected from throughout the country, this to be determined local school will receive a $10,000 NFL PLAY 60 health and wellness grant. It will be presented at a special “Chiefs Community Caring Team” school visit, which will be held later this season.
The “Chiefs Community Caring Team,” led by Clark and Tavia Hunt along with the entire Hunt Family, includes members from the Chiefs organization who participate in community outreach efforts throughout the year. It consists of not only position groups but also the Chiefs Rookie Club, Chiefs Women’s Organization, KC Wolf, Chiefs Cheerleaders, Chiefs Ambassadors, alumni, Chiefs Red Coaters and other Chiefs staff members.
