1st Year NFL Coach • 1st with Chiefs
Daron Roberts enters his first season as the club’s defensive quality control assistant. In his current role he will assist defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham and defensive assistant Michael Ketchum with a myriad of duties. In addition to assisting in the development of the playbook, Roberts will also provide computer breakdown reports for the defensive staff and will work with defensive backs coach David Gibbs. Roberts originally joined the Chiefs in 2007 in a volunteer capacity, working with special teams coach Mike Priefer. He also served as an assistant coach on former Chiefs C Tim Grunhard’s staff at Bishop Miege High School in Kansas City.
The Mt. Pleasant, Texas native owns a wealth of experience in the political arena, including stints working on behalf of Texas Lieutenant Governor Bill Ratliff and Senator Joseph Lieberman.
The University of Texas alumnus served as the Student Body President his senior year. Roberts earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and holds a law degree from Harvard Law School.
