ARE YOU READY FOR AUDITIONS?

Ready to be motivated? Whether you are auditioning to be a Chiefs Cheerleader, a pro cheerleader elsewhere, or even if you just want to enhance your skills in professionalism, fitness, and glamour... you're invited! Don't miss out on incredible training (in a fun, relaxed environment). Training covers a wide variety of subjects including dance techniques and performance, cheering in the NFL, poise, public appearances, speaking, beauty makeovers, fitness secrets, professional modeling for posters and calendars, and the famous  "Heart Habits" of the Chiefs Cheerleaders!

2010 WORKSHOP AND AUDITION CLINIC DATES

The workshops will be held from 6:30-8:30pm at the Chiefs Indoor Practice Facility. Enter through Gate 5 and park on the West side of the Practice Facility in the gravel.  Wear dance clothes and jazz or tennis shoes for the workshops!

The cost is $25 per class or $85 for all four.

*Head shots will be taken at the audition clinics. Please come in full hair and make-up. 

Audition details and material will be taught at the January 16th Audition Clinics. Don't forget to register for one of these, attendance at one is mandatory to be eligible for auditions!

Auditions, January 22-24, 2009 @ Kansas City Chiefs Indoor Practice Facility

Schedule:

January 22nd- Prelims

- Rookie candidates only

Wear any combination of red, white, gold, or black.

•Bra top

•Booty shorts (Must be 1” below the belly button & no more than a 1” inseam)

•Hose (no tights)

•Tennis shoes or jazz shoes (any color)

•Full make-up

•Full hair (must be down)

•No jewelry except single stud earrings

- 5:30pm start time

- Closed to the public

January 23rd- Semi-Finals

- Rookie semi-finalists & veteran candidates

- 8am start time

- Closed to the public during the day, evening show is open to the public

January 24th- Finals

- Rookie & Veteran Finalist

- 9am start time (please note, audition outfits will be provided for finals)

- Closed to the public

Please NOTE:  Additional details of auditions such as attire, material and schedule will be given at workshops and audition clinics. 

Two years ago the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleading program decided to expand their cheerleading team to add the ambassador cheerleaders to our squad. The Ambassador Cheerleaders are full time members of the team, however, their focus is on appearances, communication, and community outreach events instead of game day dance and performance. Ambassadors Cheerleaders need to be available for more public appearances and have more flexible day to day schedules, particularly during the week in the daytime and during Cheerleader practice times. Ambassadors attend Basic Training at the beginning of the season and then approximately two practices a month (to allow for more availability for community appearances).On game days, Ambassadors meet and greet Chiefs fans by visiting suites and sponsors, taking pictures and signing autographs throughout Arrowhead Stadium. Ambassador cheerleaders do not dance on the field during the games, therefore, a strong dance background is not needed for this position.
